A RELIABLE PARTNER FOR THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR
When Jürgen Schöls founded APV in Dallein (Lower Austria) in 1997, it was a one-man operation. Together with Birgit Schöls, who joined the company at the end of 1998, they set their sights on expansion. By 2010, the team had grown to 25 people, and today around 200 employees work for APV both domestically and abroad. From the very beginning, the owners have placed great importance on mutual respect, and this has become an integral part of the company’s culture—whether with employees, customers, or partners.
The company manufactures grassland maintenance, crop maintenance, seeding, and spreading equipment for use in organic farming. Not only organic farmers, but also an increasing number of conventional farms rely on APV products for the sustainable management of their fields. With an export rate of around 85%, APV can certainly be described as a “hidden champion” of the Waldviertel region.
APV has locations and sales subsidiaries in Poland, Romania, Germany, Turkey, Brazil, and the United States. APV’s network of authorized partners in over 50 countries ensures that APV customers worldwide receive the highest level of service expertise.

1997
Founding
Jürgen Schöls founded APV Technische Produkte GmbH in 1997.
Having grown up in the world of organic farming, Jürgen quickly realized that the technology available to organic farmers did not meet his standards. Something new was needed, especially in the area of seeding and spreading technology.
1998
1. Product
Jürgen decided to build his first single-disc spreader himself, designing it to be sturdy, easy to mount on his existing fleet, and reliable. This idea quickly sparked a lot of interest among farmers in the area. Jürgen realized that this was a niche in agricultural technology that he could fill with his ideas.
2003
New Headquarters + Innovation Award
The first office building (the former family home of founder Jürgen Schöls) opened its doors.
The first employees were hired.
The most well-known APV product, the PS pneumatic seeder, was designed
APV received the first Innovation Award from the State of Lower Austria
2006
Founding of APV Polska
APV is expanding into an international company with the establishment of its first subsidiary in Poland.

Gold Export Price
In June 2022, APV was awarded the Austrian Export Prize in Gold in the “Trade” category. The Austrian Federal Economic Chamber recognized APV’s high export volume and international success in the agricultural equipment sector.

Nach rund 1,5 Jahren Bauzeit fand im Sommer 2024 der große Umzug ins neue Büro- und Schulungszentrum in Dallein – ein Meilenstein in der Firmengeschichte.
For the approximately 150 employees, the move meant much more than just a new address. It was a step into a new work environment that combines sustainability with a welcoming atmosphere.
