Cookies
Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device via your browser. They do not cause any harm. We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit. If you do not wish this, you can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are set and to allow them only on a case-by-case basis. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of our website.
Automated data processing on our website
When you visit our website, certain data is automatically stored for system administration, statistical, or security purposes. This includes the name of your internet service provider, possibly your IP address, the version of your browser software, the operating system of the computer used to access the site, the website from which you visited us, the pages you visit on our site, and, if applicable, the search terms you used to find our website. This automatically collected data may, under certain circumstances, allow conclusions to be drawn about a specific visitor to the website. Such data is used exclusively in an anonymous manner. Further information can be found under the heading “Google Analytics.”
Google Analytics with anonymization feature
Our website uses features of the web analytics service Google Analytics, provided by Google Inc., located at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). This involves the use of cookies that enable an analysis of how users interact with the website.
The information generated by these cookies—such as the time, location, and frequency of your visits to our website, including your IP address—is transmitted to Google in the United States and stored there. You can prevent the installation of these cookies by adjusting your browser settings accordingly. However, please note that in this case, you may not be able to use all features of our website to their full extent.
We use Google Analytics on our website with an IP anonymization feature. In this case, your IP address is truncated and anonymized by Google while you are still within the member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. As a result, only a rough location can be determined.
Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our site, to compile reports on website activity for us, and to provide other services related to website and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required by law or where such third parties process the data on Google’s behalf. According to Google, Google will in no case associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
In addition, Google offers an opt-out option for the most common browsers, which gives you more control over what data Google collects and processes. If you enable this option, no information about your visit to the website will be transmitted to Google Analytics. However, enabling this option does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analytics services we may use. For more information about the opt-out option provided by Google and how to enable it, please visit the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
In accordance with the GDPR (legitimate interest), our goal is to improve our services and our website. Because we value our users’ privacy, user data is pseudonymized. User data is retained for a period of 26 months.
Google-Adwords
We also use the Google advertising tool "Google AdWords" to promote our website. As part of this, we use the "Conversion Tracking" analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, hereinafter referred to as "Google," on our website. If you have arrived at our website via a Google ad, a cookie will be stored on your computer. Cookies are small text files that your internet browser stores on your computer. These so-called "conversion cookies" expire after 30 days and are not used to identify you personally. If you visit certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that you, as a user, clicked on one of our ads placed on Google and were redirected to our site.
The information collected using "conversion cookies" is used by Google to generate visitor statistics for our website. These statistics tell us the total number of users who clicked on our ad, as well as which pages of our website each user subsequently visited. However, neither we nor other advertisers using "Google AdWords" receive any information that could be used to personally identify users.
You can prevent the installation of "conversion cookies" by adjusting your browser settings accordingly, for example by enabling a setting that generally disables the automatic placement of cookies or specifically blocks cookies from the "googleadservices.com" domain.
You can find Google's privacy policy regarding this matter at the following link: https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html
Google Adsense
We use Google AdSense on this website. This is an advertising program provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Google AdSense allows us to display ads on this website that are relevant to our content. In AdSense, cookies are intended to enable better advertising. The cookies do not contain any personally identifiable data. However, it should be noted that Google considers data such as “pseudonymous cookie IDs” (where a name or other identifying feature is replaced by a pseudonym) or IP addresses to be non-personally identifiable information. Under the GDPR, however, this data may be considered personal data. Google AdSense sends a cookie to the browser after every impression (which occurs whenever you see an ad), every click, and every other activity that results in a request to the Google AdSense servers. If the browser accepts the cookie, it is stored there. In addition, Google AdSense uses web beacons—invisible graphics that allow Google to analyze clicks on this website, traffic to it, and similar information.
The information collected via cookies and web beacons, your IP address, and the delivery of advertising formats are transmitted to a Google server located in the United States and stored there. Google may share this collected information with third parties if required by law or if Google engages third parties to process the data on its behalf. However, Google will combine your IP address with the other stored data.
By adjusting the settings in your web browser, you can prevent the aforementioned cookies from being stored on your computer. However, this may result in your inability to use the content of this website to the same extent. By using this website, you consent to the processing of your personal data by Google in the manner described above and for the purpose stated above.
Google Fonts
We use Google Fonts from Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) on our website. Google Fonts is used without authentication, and no cookies are sent to the Google Fonts API. If you have a Google account, none of your Google account data is transmitted to Google while using Google Fonts. Google merely records the use of CSS and the fonts used and stores this data securely. You can find more information on this and other questions at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq. You can read about what data Google collects and how it is used at https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/.
YouTube with enhanced privacy mode
On our website, we use components (videos) provided by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., 94066 San Bruno, CA, USA, a subsidiary of Google Inc., Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. In doing so, we use the "- enhanced privacy mode -" option provided by YouTube.
When you visit a page that contains an embedded video, a connection is established with YouTube's servers, and the content is displayed on the webpage by being sent to your browser.
According to YouTube, in "enhanced privacy mode," only certain data is transmitted to YouTube's servers—specifically, which of our web pages you have visited while watching the video. If you are logged into YouTube at the same time, this information will be associated with your YouTube account. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account before visiting our website.
Google provides further information about YouTube's privacy policy at the following link:

Cookies and social plugins from other social networks
Our websites use social plugins from the following social networks:
- 1. „Facebook“ (Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2 Ireland)
- 2. „LinkedIn“ (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland)
- 3. „Twitter“ (Twitter Inc., 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, California 94103, USA)
- 4. “Instagram” (Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2 Ireland) enthalten.
These services are provided by the respective companies (“providers”). On our website, the social plugins are identified by the respective buttons associated with the service. Based on the data transmitted to the respective service via the social plugins, the service may be able to associate you with your account with them. To enhance the protection of your data on our website, the social plugins are integrated into our website using the so-called “2-click solution.”
This ensures that when you visit a page on our website that contains such social plugins, no automatic connection is established with the servers of the respective providers.
Activating a social plugin involves a two-step process. To activate a social plugin, you must first click on the link located on our website. This initially activates the social plugin, and your browser establishes a connection to the provider’s servers. With a second click, you can then interact with the social plugin—for example, to submit your recommendation. If you are already logged in to one of the providers’ social networks, the providers can immediately associate your visit to this website with your profile. When you interact with the social plugins by clicking on them, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a server of the providers and stored there. The information may also be published on the social network and displayed there to your contacts. If you wish to prevent such direct association of your data collected via our website with your profile, you must log out of your account with the respective provider before visiting our websites.
For details on the scope and purpose of data collection by the respective service, as well as the further processing and use of your data by that service, please refer to the privacy policy directly on the service’s website. There you will also find further information about your relevant data protection rights and settings options for protecting your privacy.
